What Is Aqualyx™?
Aqualyx™ is an injectable hydrous solution that causes fat cells to dissolve; allowing them to be expelled naturally. It is micro-gelatinous, and both biocompatible and biodegradable. The Aqualyx™ solution contains a detergent from the desoxycholate family. This detergent has been modified to minimize any side effects by reducing its biological half-life and the sugar-based slow release system.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Aqualyx™ Fat Dissolving Injections?
Any area of the body (excluding the eye area) can be treated with AQUALYX™. Fat deposits are dissolved in the same manner across the body.
How Does Aqualyx™ Work & Why Is It Superior To The Alternatives?
The Aqualyx® solution is directly injected into the area to be treated. It gets to work straight away, dissolving the cell membranes and liquifying the fat cell. Ultrasound is then used on the surface of the skin to help the liquid move in the treated fat cells, and those nearby. This causes the cells to expand and break, releasing the lipids contained within. These are subsequently destroyed naturally by the lymphatic system within your body. The treatment is fast and effective, and usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes. You’re able to leave the clinic soon after the treatment is completed.
